FIFA 13

FIFA 13, the 20th game in Electronic Arts’ FIFA series of association football video games, was the first FIFA to feature Lionel Messi on the global cover. FIFA 13 was a revolutionary year for FIFA Ultimate Team: it was the first time ever that was released FUT seasons game mode, FIFA Points, EAS FC companion app and pro-players in form cards.

FIFA 13 was the first FIFA to be compatible with the XBox Kinect and Playstation Move, the movement controlled fads of the time – though it failed to really become a huge part of the game. However, it was an evolutionary year on the revolutionary/evolutionary cycle, adding to the work done by its immediate predecessor. The most notable new features were the new attacking intelligence, which made virtual players more savvy; complete dribbling, the next step of precision dribbling; and the new first touch control, which removed the automatic ‘perfect’ first-touch.
