FC 25 PLAYER CARDS
There are dozens of FC 25 Player Card types, with unique designs, colors, and roles.
Player Cards
FC 25 Ultimate Team allows you to build your ideal squad from a vast selection of players worldwide. In Ultimate Team, players are represented by Player Items—unique cards showcasing each player’s specific in-game ratings and attributes.
Every base player in Ultimate Team falls into Bronze, Silver, or Gold categories and is designated as either Common or Rare. In addition to these item types, there are other Special Item designs that celebrate specific players’ real-world achievements, past or present performances, or participation in various tournaments. The game also features prestigious Icon and Heroes items representing some of football’s all-time greatest players.
Ultimate Team includes an in-game quality filter that simplifies your search for specific player versions on the Transfer Market. This feature allows you to explore players by their item type, making it easier to discover and acquire new players with multiple Special Items.
FC 25 Player Cards are organized into seven categories:
- Base Items
- Evolution Items
- Planning Items
- Past Player Items
- Real-World Football Items
- Campaign Items
- Other Special Items
 Base Item |
Base items are released on day one to all players with their original characteristics and attributes. All other cards are modifications made from these. Based on their rating, base items are categorized into different qualities: gold (ratings higher than 74), silver (ratings between 65 and 74), or bronze (ratings lower than 65). Moreover, each of these cards can be either rare or common. Rare cards are designated for players whose attributes or characteristics stand out compared to similar players in their position or league, or for players with an exceptional international reputation. |
 Evolution |
Evolution items are in-game items that allow players to enhance and upgrade their player cards over time. Players can select a card that fulfills predefined criteria, and through the completion of specific in-game objectives, the card will undergo an upgrade from its base version to evolution. This evolution brings about permanent enhancements to attributes such as overall rating, stats, playstyles, position, work rates, and appearance. |
 Concept |
Concepts cards are virtual items that allow players to populate their squads with players they don’t own, enabling them to see how these players would fit into their teams. They are particularly useful for planning future transfers, squad upgrades, and tactical adjustments. These items cannot be earned or purchased because they are not actual in-game items; they are solely tools created for squad planning purposes. |
 Hero Item |
UT Heroes is a special item assigned to a selection of retired players who didn’t make it to the Icons rank but made a significant impact at their clubs and international level. Regular version is available from launch recognizing a memorable moment from their club career. |
 Special |
Throughout the season, several upgraded versions of Heroes are released, often tied to promotional events. These new cards can be made available through packs, SBCs, or objectives, and they can feature improved stats or not. |
 Icon Item |
Icon items are assigned exclusively to some of retired greatest football players of all time, giving you the chance to play, for example, with Pelé and Eusébio on your team. Icon items always have three chemistry points when playing in their preferred positions. They will also count as two increments towards their country chemistry threshold and one increment to every league. |
 Special |
Throughout the season, several upgraded versions of Icons are released, often tied to promotional events. These new cards can be made available through packs, SBCs, or objectives, and they may feature improved stats or, in rarer cases, downgraded ones. |
 Flashback |
Flashback cards recognize previous accomplishments of currently active players by featuring items with increased stats based on a particularly great season that they had. Each item represents a player’s milestone season. These items are not available in packs and cannot be sold. They can be earned by completing specific Squad Building Challenge or objectives. |
 Player Moment |
Player Moments items are unique improved cards created to recognize previous accomplishments of currently active players, like special matches or important goals. They look back at a specific time in a player’s career where they performed to an extraordinary level. Player Moments items feature dynamic images and improved stats and ratings. You cannot find them in Ultimate Team packs. To get these cards, you have to complete specific SBCs or, more rarely, objectives. |
 POTM |
POTM cards are upgraded items awarded to players who have received the Player of the Month award in the following six leagues: Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and Liga F. They are released almost every month, featuring improved stats and dynamic images, and you cannot find them in Ultimate Team packs. To get these cards, you have to complete specific SBCs. |
 Premium |
Premium SBC items are unique improved cards assigned to a selection of players to celebrate their end of football careers or their move on from the clubs where they leave a legacy behind. End of an Era items feature dynamic images and improved stats and ratings. Unfortunately, you cannot find them in Ultimate Team packs. To get these cards, you must complete specific premium SBCs available for a limited time. |
 Record |
Record Breaker items are special cards created to celebrate record-breaking achivements in the real-world of football, such as most goals scored by a national team, most clean sheets, fastest hat-trick, most consecutive matches scoring goals or most header goals in a specific league. These items feature dynamic images and improved stats and ratings. Depending on the item, you can get them in Ultimate Team packs, by completing squad building challenges or objectives. |
 Showdown |
Showdown cards are unique items featuring improved ratings and stats, available exclusively via squad building challenges. This type of SBC highlights two players who are set to face each other in an upcoming football fixture. The winner of the real-life match receives a +2 upgrade while the loser does not get any boost. If the match ends tied, both players receive a +1 rating and stats upgrade. |
 Team of the |
Team of the Week items are assigned (almost) every Wednesday to a selection of players based on their real-life performances throughout the domestic leagues represented in the game. In extraordinary situations, like during international breaks, players who have played well for their national teams can also be selected. |
 Birthday |
UT Birthday cards are special items assigned to a very limited selection of players, featuring permanent boosts for rating and stats, as well as weak foot and skill moves upgrades. These cards are released during of the most waited promos of the year and are available in packs, SBCs, and objectives. |
 FUTTIES |
FUTTIES cards are unique pink items assigned to a select group of players, featuring improved stats and premium chemistry. Given that these cards are linked to the longest and final promo of the UT cycle, which includes several teams and dozens of items available through SBCs, FUTTIES are also the special event cards that are awarded to more players and with higher ratings. |
 Future |
Future Star cards are special item assigned to a very limited selection of hot young prospects, replacing their regular cards at specific times. These cards feature permanent ratings and stats boosts, replicating what the players can potentially be if they meet the expectations of football fans. The players need to be 23 years old or younger and cannot have been released in past Future Stars campaigns to be selected for the Future Stars event. |
 Road to the |
Road to the Knockouts cards are live items assigned to a selection of players who are competing in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Europa League or Conference League league stage. These special items are made available in packs, SBCs and objectives, featuring an initial boost. However, they also receive upgrades if their clubs win 3 matches, scores in 4 different matches or finish in the 2 top positions. |
 Road to the |
Road to the Finals cards are live items assigned to a selection of players who are competing in the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, Women’s Champions League, Europa League or Conference League. These special items are made available in packs, SBCs and objectives, featuring an initial boost. However, they also receive upgrades if they move to the next round or win the tournament. |
 Team of the |
TOTS cards are special items assigned to the finest players of the football season from both Europe and around the world. These cards boast exceptional attributes, high ratings, and distinctive abilities. The Team of the Season event lasts for approximately six weeks, resulting in the release of many dozens of TOTS cards during this timeframe. |
 Team of the |
Team of the Year cards are special items assigned to the best eleven players of the previous civil year (one goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, and 3 forwards), replacing their regular cards in packs at specific times. These cards feature very high upgrades in rating and stats, especially considering that the game has just over three months since its release. |
 Total Rush |
Total Rush is a promo card focused on the new variant Rush. The players chosen to feature in this event are some famous faces who bring together their styles and skills, to unlock new combinations suited to the small-sided game. They features minor improvements and can be found in packs, SBCs, and objectives for a limited-time. |
 Dynamic |
Dynamic Duos cards are special player items released with boosted stats. These untradeable players’ cards are available only through squad building challenges and objectives. What makes these items different is the fact to be released in pairs, featuring players of the same club. By completing the respective challenges, you win items that improve its chemistry when used together in the same team. |
 Champions |
In some rounds of the Champions Finals, part of the rewards includes Champion Items. Also known as Red Picks, they are replicas of the active TOTW/TOTS for that week, with the same rating, stats, and dynamic images as those cards. |
 Pro Player |
Pro Player cards are unique improved items assigned by EA Sports to a small selection of professional football playerssame club> in a bid to make friends and gain exposure. Pro Players are 99-rated untradeable items, and you cannot get one unless you are a professional footballer. Therefore, they are unavailable in packs, squad building challenges, or objectives. If you play against someone with one of these cards, you are playing against a professional football player. |
 Squad Foundations |
Squad Foundation items are special cards representing key players from selected leagues. For each league, two items are released simultaneously, with one available through objectives and the highest-rated item offered through squad building challenges |
 Storyline |
Storyline cards are untradeable items featuring boosted ratings and stats. They don’t receive any further upgrades. These unique items can only be earned by exchanging XP in the active Ultimate Team season. |
 World Tour |
Each Season highlights a specific league or nationality, and this is reflected through the World Season cards. Throughout the Season, various upgraded cards featuring players from those leagues or countries can be acquired with SP, while some can also be earned through SBCs. |
