The Out of Position promo is a brand new FUT event released after Rulebreakers.

This promo includes special cards assigned to a selection of players featuring with new main and alternate positions and attributes changes that give them the ability to perform in their new role, as well as the potential for changes to their preferred foot, weak foot, skill moves, and work rates. This would be game-changing for many players who don’t fit on your current formation or squad.

FIFA 23 Out of Position cards are a Special item category assigned to a selection of players, replacing their regular cards at specific times.

These cards feature a small starter boost on rating and stats, and different positions. Each player features at least two alternative positions, as well as the potential for changes to their preferred foot, weak foot, skill moves, and work rates.
FIFA 23 Out of Position items are usually assigned to players who don’t have any alternative position. It’s the case, for example, of Nicolò Barella. You cannot use his regular card if you play in a formation without any CM.
FIFA 23 Out of Position items are expected to be released with a small permanent upgrade.
Once released, these items cannot be upgraded.
You can get FIFA 23 Out of Position item in the same way as any other card: in packs or on the transfer market. If you want to try your luck on packs, you can go to the store and buy them with coins or FIFA Points. They can be found in any pack with players’ cards, including free packs. Finding one of these cards is higher if you open a pack containing more player cards.

Completing specific SBCs and objectives may also reward you with an OOP item.
