Introduction to the FUT 14 Ligue 1 Guide
Building a team is the biggest challenge in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, even because the budget may not allow it, but it needs to be the player’s stature for him to obtain success.
When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes on FUT 14. It’s precisely this aspect that this guide focuses on. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show who are the best athletes to choose.
It’s also important that the player checks to see if the player he chooses fits the formations he likes to play in. For example, a good full back will be useless if the player only uses formations with three defenders. According to those formations, the player must be cautious to look at the work rates, trying to relate them with the ones we advise in our Formations Guide.
Last but not least, it’s mandatory that you tune all of your team so that the individual and team chemistry be as high possible. For this last step to be easier, the majority of the players start to define the type of team they’re building. Some choose gathering players of the same nationality, while others decide to form a team of players from the same league. The most popular leagues are the Brazilians and the Barclays Premier League. There are also more experienced players that can form hybrid teams without damaging the chemistry a lot.
All of these steps are necessary to have; it could be that the team is not always well built as it could’ve been. This article aims to help those that think or want to form a FIFA 14 Ultimate Team based on players from the Ligue 1. Even the ones have one, could take out some valuable conclusion from this guide that could help turn your team even better.
It’s important that the readers understand that this guide is simply guidance. It’s a theme too vast and the player’s combinations are almost infinite. Besides, there are various factors that influence the choices, like it’s one’s style of play, the formations used, the available budget, the preferences or even the time spent playing. There’s still one uncertain component: a good player for someone might not be for another. If there was a better team everyone would fight to get it. Part of the fun of FIFA 14 Ultimate Team is this: everyone has their personal club and players.
Another important point and that must stay very clear is that whoever is reading this guide, it’s about some criteria we chose and should be of everyone’s knowledge:
- In this guide we didn’t consider silver or bronze player. Most players don’t assume them to be a better option than gold players, so to simplify the guide’s analysis we didn’t include them. In the future we may come to publish guides exclusively talking about these categories.
- In this guide we didn’t consider In Forms (IF). They’re extremely expensive and in most cases are not considered good value for money. They should only be used by players with generous budgets, that already have the best team possible and that want small upgrades.
- In this guide we didn’t consider players that have been transferred to other clubs or that have been reviewed (UP). Only players that started their season in the Ligue 1 and with their original attributes were considered.
- In this guide we didn’t consider changes made on a players performance such happens when applying training or chemistry styles cards.
- To make the comprehension of this guide easier we divided the players in nine distinct groups in order of their original position: Goalkeeper (GK), central backs (CB), right backs (RB and RWB), left backs (LB and LWB), central defensive midfielders (CDM) central midfielders (CM and CAM), right midfielders (RM, RW and RF), left midfielders (LM, LW and LF) and forwards (CF and ST).
- In the chapter where FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Ligue 1 teams are suggested, the prices considered are the ones of the date of the guide’s publication: February 2014. It’s natural that the prices have suffered some oscillations throughout the season, so they should only be considered as guiding prices.
FUT 14 Ligue 1 Goalkeepers (GK)
Goalkeepers are the players that are less used on field. Because of this they are also the disdained when building a team. Most players start their purchases with a forward, later they strengthen the midfield the defence and only later the goal. The truth is a good goalkeeper may be worth a lot of goals. It’s good investment because they’re normally the most economically accessible players.

Mickaël Landreau | 184 | France | SC Bastia |
The choice for the best Ligue 1 goalkeeper on FIFA 14 Ultimate team, is extremely easy.
In our opinion, Salvatore Sirigu is the best choice. Besides being the best in the two most important attributes, he’s also who has the best positioning and he is the tallest goalkeeper from Ligue 1. For us, Stéphane Ruffier is the best alternative to the French Champion. Steve Mandanda, our third choice, is shorter and has worse reflexes.

FUT 14 Ligue 1 Central Backs (CB)
A goalkeepers task is made easier if in front of him are quality central backs. Their function is to stop the opponent from getting dangerously close to your team’s goal.
HIGHEST RATED CENTRAL BACKS
Thiago Silva | 87 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
Nicolas Nkoulou | 81 | Cameroon | Olympique de Marseille |

Loïc Perrin | 78 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
Marquinhos | 78 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
Marko Baša | 77 | Montenegro | LOSC Lille |
On a central back, two attributes assume particular importance on their performance: defending and heading.
A player with better defending will have an easier chance of dispossessing the opponent and avoid him reaching your box.

Marquinhos | 78 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
Marko Baša | 77 | Montenegro | LOSC Lille |
On a game partially made difficult on stopping an opponent’s header in our box, possessing good heading is even more important on a central back than it was before. Allow him to be superior in your box when defending air balls but it’s also worth it on set pieces, like corners where a central backs jump may just be worth some goals.
CENTRAL BACKS WITH BETTER HEADING
Alex | 86 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
Thiago Silva | 83 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
Marko Baša | 81 | Montenegro | LOSC Lille |

Ricardo Carvalho | 78 | Portugal | AS Monaco |
Lamine Sané | 78 | Senegal | Girondins de Bordeaux |
Aymen Abdennour | 77 | Tunisia | Toulouse FC |
Defending and heading may be useless against fast opponents. It’s necessary to fight fire with fire. No likes feeling impotent when seeing you get overrun by extremely fast players. Even though, in a way, centre backs aren’t that fast, every team needs one of these players with a high pace attribute.
CENTRAL BACKS WITH BETTER PACE
Thiago Silva | 80 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |

Loïc Perrin | 65 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
Eric Abidal | 64 | France | AS Monaco |
Simon Kjær | 62 | Denmark | LOSC Lille |
Thiago Silva intercepts everything that is at his reach. He is one of the fastest central backs of the world. He has his room in any Ligue 1 team.
Nicolas Nkoulou is our second choice. Alex is a good defender but he is too slow. We recommend to use him only in squads with five defenders. Marquinhos, Aymen Abdennour and Bruno Ecuélé Manga are cheap alternatives.

Full backs have the role of troubling the mission of the wingers. Not only. In addition, good full backs also support their team mates on offensive maneuvers.

Mariano | 76 | Brazil | Girondins de Bordeaux |
Serge Aurier | 75 | Ivory Coast | Toulouse FC |
Franck Béria | 75 | France | LOSC Lille |
François Clerc | 75 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
There are very important attributes in any right back: defending and pace.
Since they’re defenders they should have good defending capacities. This reduces a team’s risk of conceding.

François Clerc | 75 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
Mariano | 73 | Brazil | Girondins de Bordeaux |
A flanked game tends to be faster than a game based in the middle of the field. The players that fill these spaces are obligated to be fast, both penetrating defensive and attacking moves of the team. Pace is one of the most important requirements for a good full back.

Christophe Jallet | 74 | France | Paris Saint-Germain |
François Clerc | 71 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
Mariano and Rod Fanni are undoubtedly the best right backs playing on Ligue 1. Despite to be who defends worse, Mariano is our first choice.

Best FUT 14 Ligue 1 Left Backs (LB e LWB)
Left backs have exactly the same role of their team mates on the other flank. In other words, they try to make a winger’s job hard and participate on the team’s offensive manoeuvres.

Henri Bedimo | 81 | Cameroon | Olympique Lyonnais |
Lucas Digne | 80 | France | Paris Saint-Germain |
Maxwell | 74 | Brazil | Paris Saint-Germain |
To choose the best left back from Ligue 1 is something really hard to to. Our preference goes to Henri Bedimo. Maxwell is better in four of the six main attributes, but the Lyon’s player is faster, defends almost as well and is great in other important stats like strength, stamina and aggression.

Best FUT 14 Ligue 1 Defensive Midfielder (CDM)
Many of the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team formations require some midfielders that have a natural aptitude to defend. Central defensive midfielders distinguish themselves for being especially aimed to help the more retreated line of their teams. According to their attributes and their work rates, they can also be useful for starting attacks. They are players that occupy a very strategic position in the field.
HIGHEST RATED CENTRAL DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERS
Jérémy Toulalan | 82 | France | AS Monaco |

Maxime Gonalons | 78 | France | Olympique Lyonnais |
Jérémy Clément | 77 | France | AS Saint-Etienne |
Marco Verratti | 77 | Italy | Paris Saint-Germain |
Grzegorz Krychowiak | 76 | Poland | Stade de Reims |
Alaixys Romao | 76 | Togo | Olympique de Marseille |
Didier Digard | 76 | France | OGC Nice |
There are a variety of attributes in a central defensive midfielder that you have to give attention: defending, so that the first defender of team works; strength, so that you win all brawls on a prone area of the field; heading, to win possession in aerial moves like goal kicks; pace, so that you cover the most terrain on the field as possible; stamina, so they can equally participate in offensive a defensive moves (especially useful for players with high/high work rates); passing and possession so that he can properly start attacks. In our opinion the two first are the most important.
Normally using a central defensive midfielder is associated with having a deficit of elements in your defence. So, it makes sense that when you search for a player to occupy this position you’d want players that can defend.

Blaise Matuidi | 75 | France | Paris Saint-Germain |
Rio Antonio Mavuba | 72 | France | LOSC Lille |
Blaise Matuidi is our first choice for this position. He is not only the fastest and who defends better. He is a very balanced player with an amazing stamina (91) and a good work rate to play everywhere.
Toulalan and Thiago Motta are too slow. We prefer Krychowiak and Maxime Gonalons.

João Moutinho is for us the best midfielder of Ligue 1. His stamina of 91 and his work rate high / high allow him to be on the attack and on the defence. Valbuena is our second choice. He is fast, has a good dribbling and good passing but he is too weak. Yoann Gourcuff and Clément Grenier are other good alternatives.

Henri Saivet | 75 | Senegal | Girondins de Bordeaux |
Yann Jouffre | 75 | France | FC Lorient |
There are three fundamental attribute on a winger: pace, dribbling and passing.
Pace is probably the biggest weapon of these players. They use it to evade opponents and getting to the other side, many times through sprints on the side lines.

When reaching the opponents box the winger has to decide what to do. Normally, they choose to cross to the forwards. That is why it’s important for them to have good passing.

To us, it is extremely difficult to choose between James Rodriguez and Lucas. The Brazilian player is really fast but he is too weak. Besides that, James is better on passing, crossing, shooting and heading. Dimitri Payet is our third choice.

Ezequiel Lavezzi is the best left winger of Ligue 1. For those that don’t want to pay so many coins for the PSG’s winger, André Ayew is a good alternative. He is not fast as Romain Alessandrini but he is better in almost everything else, including strength, stamina and aggression.

There are three amazing forwards on Ligue 1: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Radamel Falcão and Edinson Cavani. The Swedish player is the best forward of this league. He is the one with better shoting, passing, dribbling, ball control, shooting power, strength, long shooting, skills…
If you don’t have enough coins to buy them, since he is the second most expensive player of the whole game, you have two other good forwards to choose: Falcão, the best player for crossings style; and Cavani, a fast player with a bad high / high work rate for who want to play only with one forward.

Ligue 1 Team Suggestions
A lot of people think that this is the most important part of the guide. It’s not. The thing that is really important to know is how to choose player based on their role and style of play that fits each player. And that is made in the previous chapters. The team suggestions that follow are simple graphic indicators of what we wrote previously. They should serve merely as orientation because it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. They depend on various factors we don’t know such as budget, formation, style of play and player preferences.
To try and explore the needs of the maximum player as possible we suggest three teams with different budgets and formations: 4-1-2-1-2 with unlimited budget, 4-3-3 with 25k budget and 4-4-2 with a 10k budget.

The choice for this team’s player was based on analysis made in the previous chapters.
In goal, Sirigu is clearly the best goalkeeper from Ligue 1.
In centre back position, Thiago Silva is unquestionable. Nkoulou is a good choice for the other spot since Alex is too slow. Mariano and Bedimo are the full backs.
As CDM we have chosen Matuidi because he is the one with better quality for this position. João Moutinho may play as CAM but, if you want, he also plays well as CDM.
Lavezzi is amazing on the left side but in the opposite side it is not so easy to choose between the pace of Lucas or the technique of James Rodriguez.
Ibrahimovic is the key player on the attack and Falcão is the best player on the air. For who doesn’t like to cross to the head, Cavani may be a better choice.

The choice for this team’s players was based on analysis made in the previous chapter.
In the defence, the five players are the same, except Thiago Silva that was replaced by Aymen Abdenhour due to his price.
On the midfield, Matuidii plays on the centre to help the back four. The other two midfielders are the attacking players: João Moutinho and Valbuena are our first choices.
Ayew and James are responsible to assist Cavani. To many players, Cavani may not work on this team because of his high / high work rate. In that case, Jérémy Menez may replace him.

The choice for this team’s players was based on analysis made in the previous chapter.
In goal Ruffier is a true penny saver. In front of him, Manga and Marquinhos close the path to goal. Fanni and Bedimo are the other two defenders.
On the midfield, Julien and Krychowiak give support to the attack but also to the defence. On the last third of the field, Payet and Ayew are great players that support the strikers Gomis and Kalou, two really cheap and popular players.

It will be published in January 11th.
Brilliant guide throughout, only been playing fifa since start of April, but you have helped so much… The guide is like a bible!
My team 4-2-3-1(2)
GK Sirigu
LB Maxwell
CB Thiago Silva
CB Chiellini
RB Abate
LM Lavezzi
CDM Matuidi
CDM Vidal
RM Cuadrado
CAM Cavani
ST Falcao
Manager Roberto Martinez Serie A
Have Cuardrado with chem 7 as a weak link, have lucas too but he suffers the same, cuadrado is not loyal yet, will that make a difference, any other suggestions.
Thanks Rodrigo!
Hi. Thank you and welcome to our website.
If he is playing well and if he will get IC 8, keep with him.
Your team is great. If you are a new player, let me say that you going very well. To build an hybrid is not easy.
Regards
Thanks, just got promoted to div 1, haven’t played it yet, think my full backs are a bit week tho, really like thiago silva, but don’t know how to improve this situation without changing my whole team, havent got loads of coins as I’ve bought and sold constantly to get what I have… Any suggestions for next steps to improve?
Thanks so much.
Probably Matuidi IF if you already have Vidal UP.
Hi rodrigo,
i have a 3-5-2 ligue 1 team
Gk-Sirigu
Cb- nkoulou, thiago silva, abdnennour
Cdm- Matuidi, Cabaye
Lm- Lavezzi
Rm- Lucas
Cam- Moutinho
St- Falcao, cavani
I have 80k now and im wondering who to buy next, i am thinking of buying second IF rodriguez for cam but im not sure he will be worth it, what do you think, i could also spend the money on a second team but im not sure what to do
Hi!
If you only have these players, our suggestion is to spend your coins in a second team in order to keep the fitness high.
hey Rodrigo, i’m a big supporter of your extremely helpful guides but i’m in need of help in team building. I’m trying to make a Ligue 1/Brazilian hybrid with at least one pacey striker. This is my team, https://www.futhead.com/14/squads/10055137/. But i don’t like two slow strikers up front so i tried switching out cavani and then put in ibarbo but i couldn’t form good chemistry. Any help is appreciated.
Hi.
First of all, thank you to follow us.
We spent some time trying to find a solution for your team but it is not easy. If you want someone faster as ST, you will loose chemistry. There is no other way…
Thanks for the fast response Rodrigo and your group. But can you try again because im able to buy a manager and along with loyalty, chemistry can be recovered. If your unable to, i understand. Thanks again.
When I tried to find a solution for your team I already have considered a manager bonus and even that way you will not get individual chemistry 10 for your strikers.
Hi Rodrigo, I’m building an hybrid, could you tell me which left side is better to my 4-2-2-2 ligue 1 right side, paying attention to workrates and according to my style of play (in general I attack for the sides abussing crossings and having possesion)? any recommendation or change?
[Obviously every player has 9 individual chem in both cases]
1. Bundesliga left side:
Alves
Alaba Santana (m/m) T.Silva (m/h) Dani Alves
Schweinsteiger (h/h) Matuidi (h/h)
Reus Lucas
Lewandowsky Cavani
– I wouldn’t buy Ribery if I can afford him, I would save the money to use Ibra instead of Cavani.
2. Barclays PL left side:
Alves
Cole D.Luiz (h/m)
Toure (m/h)
Hazard
Aguero (if desagree for crossings, he could be changed from a m.city player to keep toure with high chem)
– Toure can be changed by Ramires (don’t remember workrates, he use to go forward I think) if I need to use another central forward.
– Cole can be replaced by any bpl LB if you think he’s not the best.
Thank you very much, I’m a fan of your posts and I learned a lot about Ultimate Team reading you!
Hi. Thank you.
In my opinion, the Barclays PL left side is better. Much better.
To know more about these players take a look to our BPL guide and Bundesliga guide.
I use 3-4-1-2. Bundesliga and Ligue 1 hybrid:
Gk: Neuer
Cb’s:Thiago Silva, Dante, Boateng (UP)
Cdm’s: Schweinsteiger, Matuidi (IF)
Rm & Lm: Lucas, Ribery (TOTY)
Cam: James Rodriguez (TIF)
St’s: Falcao, Ibrahimovic (TOTY)
Very nice team!
I want to try it!
Hi so im trying 4-4-2 with this squad :
st : cavani , falcao
lm: ayeu
cm: matuidi, joao mutinho
rm: james rodrigues
lb: bedimo
cb: nkolou, thiago silva
rb: mariano
gk: sirigu
I havent played any games yet. I want to ask u if u can think of a better formation for this squad ?
And can u tell me what chemistry style should I apply on my midfielders and quarterbacks?
Also any other recomendations are welcomed .
p.s. currently im in 5’th division on PC.
thank u
Hi.
You already have a great team. I don’t have improvement suggestions.
You can check the chemistry styles clicking HERE.
Thank you.
My team plays a 41212 formation and the players are
Gk Sirigu
RB Mariano
Lb Bedimo
Cb thiago silva and nkoulou
Cdm matuidi
Lm lavezzi
Rm Rodriguez
Cam joáo moutinho
St falcao and cavani
Any suggestions besides Zlatan cause I don’t have a million coins
Thanks
You can’t improve it much more. You already have the best Ligue 1 team your money can buy.
Congratulations.
Hi, I play 3-5-2 my team is:
GK-Sirigu
CB- Silva+Alex+Nkolou
CDM-Matuidi+Cabaye
LM-Lavezzi
RM-Lucas
CAM-Moutinho
ST- Cavani+IF Ben Yedder. Is this a good team, and do you have any suggestions? Thanks
Yes, it is. One of the best possible.
If you cross a lot to the box, Falcao could be a good option. That’s our only suggestion.
U can build a good team on French Ligue, Having Falcao and Cavani in front with Lavezzi Lucas as winger such a deadly forward but not so good to play makers and RB,LB that is nothing like bundisliga ex.
Ibra is so DAMM EXPENSIVE ! But Falcao will do his job !
Hey man my first time reading ur guide. I use a 4-3-3. Bedimo silva, alex, mariano
Cabaye moutinho matuidi
Lavezzi cavani lucas is that good? What suggestions?
Yes, it is good. The only thing we are not sure is about Cavani. With only one ST on your team, playing with someone that have high/high work rate may not be a good idea.
hi, thanks for the guide.
i have some question about the CB
i am going to build 3-5-2 and i get Silva and Nkoulou. I am not sure
which remaining CB i should choose now. please give me some advice on it.Thank you.
In our opinion, in a 3xx formation, the CB that plays on the middle doesn’t need to be fast. Alex is the best choice.
Hey Rodrigo, I’m having a hard time getting IBRA to the ball what formation do you think works best with him? And any suggestions other than ligue 1 on who to pair him with?
In our opinion, Ibra needs to play with someone on the attack. So, most of xx2 formations should be fine to him. He can play with many players, like Aguero, Eto’o or Lewandowski. The main problem is hot to keep his chemistry high.
Regards
thanks i made a ligue 1 bund hybrid 442(2) with
ibra and aubamayang at st
lavezzi and blasz at rm and lm
matudi and guduon at cdm
if bedimo silva hummels and piszchek on defense
adler in gk
any suggestions on how to improve the squad?
sorry for misspelling players names.
It looks nice. It is difficult to make changes in teams like yours because it affects the chemistry.
who can i buy in la liga 2 really gud players 1 defence 1 midfielder
We have not tested the Ligue 2. Sorry.
Really, really nice guide.
Can you give me your opinion on playing Ibrahimovic as CAM?
3-4-1-2 formation with Cavani and Falcao as ST? Can Ibra perfom that role or better use him as ST?
Ibra can play well as CAm, specially if you like long shots.
Ibra is one of those players that should play every game. No matter where he will play.
This guide was great thanks it helped heaps
so ive got a 4-3-3 team
GK- Sirigu
LB- Bedimo
CB- IF Nkoulou + Thiago Silva
RB- Mariano
CM- Matuidi + Moutinho + Cabaye
LW- Lavezzi
RW- Lucas
ST- Cavani
Ive got 15k at the moment and i wasnt sure who to save up for next, who would you recommend, i was thinking an inform because falcao is to expensive, unless there is anyone from another league that would fit in?
Hi.
You already have the good ones. Except Ibra and Falcao. Instead wasting your coins on IF cards, why don’t you save for Falcao. If you usually cross to the box, you will need him. Cavani is a god player but not to play alone on the attack. He has a high/high work rate which means that he will be out of position too many times.
Regards
so do you think i should change formations, and if so which one
do you think i should maybe sell IF nkoulou for falcao
No, you dont’ need to change your formation. Yes, selling IF Nkoulou for Falcao makes sense. IF cards should be bought only after you have your team ready.
sorry for all the questions, but i ended up selling Nkoulou and buying falcao, and then i opened a special pack and got lewandowski so now ive got 55k again and i wasnt sure if i should buy IF Nkoulou and someone else cheapish or someone better, what do you think?
IF Nkoulou seems OK.
Awesome guide Rodrigo! I have made a team that uses 4-1-2-1-2 that lines up like this
GK: Sirigu
RB: Fanni
CB: N’Koulou
CB: Thiago Silva
LB: Bedimo
CDM: Matuidi
RM: Rodriguez
LM: Lavezzi
CAM: Valbuena
ST: Falcao
ST: Cavani
Whenever I have used Colombia I score a lot of headers from crosses with Falcao, but with the formation I’m using at the moment I don’t get many crosses in as the RM and LM aren’t really the focal points of the formation I am using, and Lavezzi and Rodriguez are also more suited to cutting in, what would be the ideal formation that would have a focus on playing through the wings and crossing, as well as players good for this. Also, what would be a formation where my LM and RM (or LW and RW) would be focal points of my attack?
Thanks
433 for example.
Hey rodrigo thanks for building an awesome guide
I was planning to build an ligue 1/bpl hybrid squad and can’t find an appropriate striker pls help me find one.my team is
Gk lloris
Cb kaboul koscielny
RB walker
Cdm matuidi
Rm Lucas
Lm schürrle
Cam menez
St cavani
Thanks for ur help
Hi.
I’m not sure if the chemistry of your players are OK. And don’t even know the formation you play. I think Remy UP could be a good ST that connects well with both leagues.
Rodrigo,
First of all many thanks for putting these guides together. It helped me a lot to build several teams: BBVA, Bundesliga, Barclays PL… What I’m missing is something like the ultimate “world hybrid league”. It’s easy to buy the best players from all leagues and put them together, but then you don’t have good chem. Is it possible to build a team like that, with still a pretty good chem?
Hi.
It is really difficult. You can look HERE to know how to do it.
Thanks for the guide. I originally built a Ligue 1 side but sold it recently due to not being that great in the sense that it didn’t suit my style of play.
I noticed that you’ll be making a Liga Portuguesa guide sometime, and I’m think of making one as they are cheap and they can replace my Ligue 1 side. When do you think that the guide will be out?
I know you only just brought this one out, but I was just wondering, not getting aggravated or annoyed that “you haven’t brought one out in ages”. Thanks again.
No more than one week and half.
That soon? Great. These guides are brilliant. Really help me decide who to get.
hey rodrigo!
you wrote the following about cavani: “a fast player with a bad high / high work rate for who want to play only with one forward.”
please, tell me why those workrates are for squads with only one forward? are there some disadvantages if i use him next to an other striker in a 4-1-2-1-2?
thanks for the great work!
They are bad because your only forward may be out of position leaving you without a striker to pass to at times. Believe me; high/high is not good for a single ST. Try Tevez and you might understand.
Regards
You misread. With 1 striker his work rates are bad and with 2 it isnt a problem. With 2 having a high/high and a high/low is nice for counter attack because the high/high can draw defenders forward while a high/low striker can lurk forward ready to strike when the opponent loses possession.
oh thank you kaleb! you are right, i misread. english is not my mother tongue.
thanks!
Hi.
The Work Rates tell us how often a player goes to defend or to attack.
A player that has a high/high work rate, will be out of position many times because he can’t be in two places at the same time. We don’t recommend to use Cavani alone on the attack because there is a good chance to not having him there when you need. If he is the only forward, then nobody will be there.
In a 41212 it is not a problem.
More details HERE.
Regards
His scores on the 3 most important stats are very tempting on a one ST formation. Isnt Falcao also high/high? Anyway, 83 pace is 2nd best for a ligue 1 ST and 84 shooting and heading is great on the most important stats. If you dont lose possession for prolonged amounts of time or hold possession yourself well, then your only worry with high/high work rate is stamina. High/high basically means he moves forward when you hold possession and falls back when it is lost. Exceptions are relatively rare.
Thanks for the guide! Been waiting on this one for a while.
Thank you!
No pics or opinions, and an incorrectly calculated sum in the 10k budget.
We haven’t done it because this guide was a light version to save us time for other guides.
The community is asking the full version, so we will do it. But in that case there will be only two more guides.
Falcao is not 17k!
Already fixed it. It was a typo.
There is no pics! Please add them
OK. We will add them.
