How Types are Assigned
AcceleRATE is automatically assigned to players based on a combination of their Acceleration, Height, Agility, and Strength Attributes. However, Acceleration and Sprint Speed remain the primary factors determining a player’s overall speed.
The player type designation is set before kick-off, meaning it can be influenced by attribute changes like Chemistry before the match begins. However, it is not affected by attribute adjustments that occur during the game, such as stamina depletion.

Chemistry Styles have the ability to alter a player’s Accelerate type. When the game determines whether a player falls into the Lengthy, Explosive, or Controlled archetype before kick-off, it takes into account the player’s attributes after applying the Chemistry Style boosts. This means that a player initially classified as Controlled could potentially be reassigned to the Lengthy archetype if their in-game attributes, boosted by Chemistry Styles, meet the criteria for the different type.
However, not all players can undergo this change, as some attributes may remain too low even with the boosts from Chemistry Styles. Additionally, attributes like height, which influence the archetype, cannot be altered.

Most players in FC 25 will fall into the Controlled type as they accelerate uniformly in a controlled manner. - Controlled Lenghty
These players act as half lenghty, half controlled. - Mostly Lenghty
These players act as 70% lenghty and 30% controlled. - Lengthy
These players start slower but will thrive over longer distances. They are taller, stronger, and need a bit more time to get going, but they can catch up to anyone and even surpass them, provided they have enough distance.
