Team of the Season, often abbreviated as TOTS, is a squad consisting of In-Form players released annually. These blue In-Form items are awarded to the most outstanding performers of the season based on their real-life performances.

The TOTS campaign in FUT 23 spans over seven weeks and honors the top players from the 2022/23 domestic league seasons worldwide.
TOTY is a team formed by the players who played better during the calendar year. The TOTS has nothing to do with the calendar year. It is about the players of each league who have played better during the season (usually between August/September and May).
For the same player, the TOTY card has usually better stats than the respective TOTS version. That’s why they are more expensive.
EA Sports, except the Community squad and the starting eleven from Premier League, Bundesliga and Laliga, which are chosen by the community.
The squads from the biggest leagues have 15 players, while the ones from minor leagues have 11. Each squad have also players available exclusively via SBCs and Objectives.
There is no rule about it. Usually, it has at least 1 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 4 forwards.
TOTS card ratings remain unchanged after being implemented into FUT.

You can acquire Team of the Season players from the Transfer Market, through packs, via Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), and through Objectives in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
TOTS players can be found in any pack players cards. Obviously, the chances of finding one of these cards are higher if you open a pack which contains more rare player items.
No. Each week, at least two new squads are released.
Yes. Except in rare cases (like FUT Champions red picks), it doesn’t matter when you got the packs. The cards you will find inside depend exclusively on the date you open them.
